mend, make do --is happiness

make do with what you have and don't worry that it is tattered or patched...
it is what you have and you wear it...

re-making and re-doing something out of these hand-me-down clothes, seconds, and even new ones from dear sis, cousins, relatives, and friends can be such a great re-designing or better yet, re-styling challenge and exercise on my art and well---hand-sewing (as in needle and thread) skill. not that i'm a charity case nor, cannot afford to buy the best, new, more suitable clothes for steff's frame, sure i can, i work. and i work hard. its just that---the habit of always splitting and defraying mo00lahs to pay and spend for something more important, and less trivial, has stuck well with me through these single parenthood years. the grit and worry of going through all of the tremendous responsibilities ahead real, and imagined are stressing enough to make me grope for something that could somehow ease the stress. the act and activity itself comforts, and eases me. it is a therapy.
here, many are too large for her frame and sometimes unbecoming for an 11 year old girl--but that is where the challenge lies-- re-do and re-make;make it more fitting and becoming for her. the finished ones mostly are done by strategically or say engineering--hahaha putting cinches on the dress, artfully sewing folds, and trimming on in straps of laces, to hold and take form. the many ways and style for non-seamstress :D nonetheless---artist. i am also fond of creating a dress out of two shirts, blouses, hand stitch them together or with a skirt to pass up as one whole dress. why am i so fond of dresses? for church. like i think its just appropriate to attend church service and worship, in a (proper :D)dress, and all happy and lively  girls i am theorizing, are happier and can move freely and breathe well in a dress. :D. enjoy the visuals lovelies!

I had been given some wonderful clothes by a former student for steff. she told me how she was amazed with what she saw and read on this blog;D. thank you ms. kc. Karen Care Cadapan i know how you would love to see your former dresses turned to something new again. here, enjoy them! (and oh, many of these clothings will be handed down to some kids somewhere in the southern province on the side of this globe--philippines ;D. after a wear or 2 by steff. uhm, there is of course attachment formed to these because they were re-made/re-styled hand-sewn, hand-stitched w/0 any 'industrial' aid, they are a work of love and art and so, as i pass them on, i see to it that it would be embraced, loved, worn and enjoyed by another child, and even passed on to the next. that's the way it should be ;D

Friends Are Friends Forever lyrics

Packing up the dreams God planted
In the fertile soil of you
I can't believe the hopes He's granted
Means a chapter of your life is through

But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say never
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends

And with the faith and love God's given
Springing from the hope we know
We will pray the joy you live in
Is the strength that now you show

We'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say never
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends

And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say never
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends

To live as friends

Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends

No a lifetime's not too long
To live as friends
